It's talking about a man in a haunted house writing books, but he doesn't know it's haunted. About half of us have read it, and those that haven't read it want to read it because it sounds exciting, and the front cover looks cool.It looks like it's going to be a good story. Read it and see if it might be funny, too!

If you are going to read a S.S.Y.R.A. book I think you should read NERDS by Michael Buckley. It is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first it was boring but when I got into the book I could not put the book down. If you're going to read a S.S.Y.R.A. book you should read NERDS. I heard there is a second NERDS book M is for Mama's Boy could someone tell me a little about the book?

You should participate in the SSYRA books because it's fun, you never know if you might like the books, it can help you in reading, it can let you know if you might like the series, and if you read one book of the genre it can make you want to read another book like it, and you just keep on reading!!!!! If you read all 15 books it can count toward your 25 book goal, and then you just have to read 10 more!! You never know if the book can inspire a new series, like OBI!

Incredible SSYRA books!

Mrs. Grubbs' class challenges all the other 5th grade classes to try and read more of the SSYRA books than we will!!!!!! :) We agree to read 12 of the books. Can you read more? At the end, we will add up the number of books each class reads, and if we don't read more than you all, we will admit to all of you that we were the losers. If we win, Mrs. Miller will give us each a cupcake to go with our ice cream. Now that's a deal!
